Political talk...briefly

Normally, I am not one to talk politics here, but in recent days I am becoming more inclined to believe that things need to be shared here and please feel free to leave comments.

I don't tell people who to vote for. If they want to know who I will vote for, I will let them know or they can simply look at my yard signs or the back of my van(smile). I simply talk issues. I have always known that voting is a privilege and I don't understand why some choose not to vote when in some countries that isn't even an option...to vote. I know it is too late to register if you haven't already.

This election, as all elections, is crucial. I say all elections are crucial because each president we have had has left a mark in history...good, bad, or ugly. History cannot be changed and we can only learn from it. It's amazing that more people, politicians included, don't take a lesson from the most awesome history book...the Old Testament of the Bible. That's for another writing. (smile)

I agree that we need to vote our conscience. My conscience tells me to vote for the candidate who loves life...and does not support partial birth abortion. I want to vote for a candidate who does NOT say that abortion is above his pay grade. My choice supports life no matter what! We may as well live in the old days of Rome if we choose to to kill innocent babies.

We need to be (if we haven't been already) in prayer for this election. We need to fight the spiritual warfare that is out there. People seem to forget that there is another world aside from the Earth that we live on. There are angels and demons and they are at war. We need to be on our knees! My challenge to you is to select a time of day EVERY day...as much time as you can....to pray! Pray the power of Jesus over this election. Pray that His will be done! Pray hard!!!

I believe that the power of darkness can be defeated if Christians keep the faith.(please know that I equate no candidate with darkness) Maybe you need to first pray that you have faith. Take care of that then (smile). Pray and keep praying! If God's will is to set certain events into place to speed His return then so be it! Pray for Christians everywhere to be strong in Him and to stand firm.

There is so much scripture that is coming to mind right now for me to use. I am sure God will lead you to the appropriate passages as you commit to praying daily for the election. I will leave you with...Pray without ceasing!
